'THE BAND - AFTERMATH'

Who is Aftermath?

Aftermath is a rock band from Bangladesh that has been making a name for themselves in the music scene with their unique blend of traditional Bengali music and modern rock. Formed in the early 2000s, the band quickly gained a reputation for their energetic and unique live performances and unique songwriting.

Why is aftermath by favourite band?

Aftermath is my favourite because, one of the standout features of Aftermath's music is their use of traditional Bengali instruments such as the esraj and the dotara into their rock sound. This fusion of East and West gives their music a distinct and memorable quality that sets them apart from many other bands in Bangladesh. In addition to their fusion of musical styles, Aftermath also incorporates traditional Bengali melodies and scales into their compositions, further adding to the band's unique sound.

In addition to their fusion of musical styles, Aftermath is also known for their socially and politically conscious lyrics. Many of their songs address important social and political issues facing Bangladesh and the broader South Asian region, and their music serves as a powerful means of raising awareness and inspiring change.

What is my favourite song of the band?

It's very difficult for me to just say a single song which is my favourite because every single song or album of Afteramath is just favourite to me. But what can i say is which song I had heard the most since i listened the song first and the song is Utshorgo. I listened to this song almost every day in my life. Without listening to this song i cant start my day.

'Moho' is also one my favourite song which is a very unique and energetic song. But comparing Moho and Utshorgo i will definitely choose 'Utshorgo'.

There are also many other wonderful songs such as Matir Rod, Ospriho, Tumi, Biplobir, Dhoa, Onnogaan, Hoongkar and many more.

UTSHORGO

MOHO

Why is Utshorgo my most listened song among the all?

"Utshorgo" by Aftermath is a hauntingly beautiful track that showcases the band's unique blend of traditional Bengali music and modern rock. The opening strains of the song feature a haunting melody played on the traditional Bengali instrument the esraj, which is then joined by driving electric guitar riffs and a pulsing drum beat.

Vocalist Aniruddha Dasgupta's voice soars over the instrumentation, delivering emotionally charged lyrics that speak to the struggles and triumphs of the human spirit. The song builds in intensity as it progresses, culminating in a soaring guitar solo that perfectly captures the feeling of overcoming adversity.
